Welcome to ITFA’s 48th Annual International Trade and Forfaiting Conference
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
I am very pleased to welcome you to this year’s conference website!
The magical city of Porto has been chosen to host ITFA’s 48th Annual International Trade and Forfaiting Conference. We will commence on Wednesday morning, 7th September, with our fintech morning, followed by lunch and the official opening of the conference. The event will end on Friday afternoon.
As customary ITFA will bring together delegates from different fields – bankers, financiers, insurers, lawyers, fintechs – for two and a half days of panels, presentations, meetings, and a dedicated networking facility. Our welcome dinner, entertainment and legendary Gala dinner will enjoyably fill your evenings. A topical and cutting-edge programme is being prepared and will be released in due course.
Whilst we actively organise, and are supporters of online events, here at ITFA we firmly believe that only physical events can deliver the essential benefits of a good conference – networking, camaraderie and truly understanding each other’s business.
This year we are also glad to re-introduce our Educational Seminar on Trade Finance which begins on the afternoon of Tuesday 6th September and concludes at lunchtime on the 7th September, immediately prior to the opening of the Conference. Primarily aimed at junior staff and those new to trade, covering a broad range of trade and supply chain finance and taught by ITFA Board members, this is a valuable learning opportunity and is the only programme of its type taught solely by current practitioners.
At this point, we urge you to register for the Conference as soon as possible by clicking on the ‘Registration’ button (at the top of this page) to see the range of discounts offered. Two nights’ accommodation is included in the registration fee, beginning on Wednesday night.
